We all have a story to tell. We all play a character in this life. Now is the time to be the lead character in our own lives. I decided to become the main character and write my own story. I wanted everyone to have the opportunity to tell their own story, too.
So, here I am, Dr. Raichel Thomas. I am a dentist with 15 years of clinical experience. I've always been fascinated by the psychology of the human mind, which led me to pursue MSc in psychology. My goal was to understand my patients better, to learn why people are so hesitant to visit a dentist, why they are afraid of dental procedures, and why some people look down on or belittle dentists.
But as I began interacting with my colleagues and juniors, I realized how all of this affects us as dentists. I noticed how it feels to be on the other side of the table, experiencing the same challenges at one point or another. As dentists, we need a space to express ourselves without judgement, and that can only happen with our peers—not just seniors or juniors, but those who share our experiences and interests.
And that’s how Echoes Of Your Tales was born—a space where we, as dental professionals, can come together, share our journeys, and support each other through the highs and lows of our profession. Because every story deserves to be heard, and every voice has the power to inspire change.
